In December Olive it! headed to Bristol and hosted a once in a lifetime olive cooking course with celebrated Spanish chef, Omar Allibhoy.
The evening started with a welcoming glass of wine before Omar demonstrated how to make an unusual olive-based dessert: candied pitted olives and cherries in sweet sherry wine. The second dish showcased was a true winter warmer: queen olive-stuffed meatballs with tomato and olive sauce. Finally, the group had a go at making a coarse paté of mixed olives, manchego cheese and pistachios – perfect for festive nibbles.
This November saw Olive it! share the delights of European table olives with an appreciative crowd at the BBC Good Food Show at Olympia, London. Here are a few highlights from the three day event, which included live cooking demonstrations from renowned chef Omar Allibhoy.
